Junior Data Engineer β Shape the Future of ESG Data
I’m looking for a couple of Data engineers to help shape the infrastructure and systems that power a market leader in the ESG space.
You’ll transition the codebase, optimising the cloud-based environment, and ensuring seamless integration of analytics tools to provide reliable and insightful data to there clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support the collection, validation, and scoring of ESG data.
- Assist in the transition of our codebase from R to Python, ensuring robust and efficient implementations.
- Design, build, and optimise AWS-based data systems, leveraging tools like Glue, Athena, S3, and Lambda.
- Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to integrate Tableau-based analytics solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through best practices in validation and testing.
- Contribute to the evolution of our data infrastructure to meet the growing demands of regulatory reporting and business intelligence.
Essential:
- Strong experience with data engineering tools and practices.
- Proficiency in R and Python, with experience migrating between the two.
- Hands-on expertise in AWS services: Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes (K8s).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with data visualisation platforms, particularly Tableau.
- Knowledge of database management and cloud-based architecture.
Nice to have: Brucey bonus points.
- An understanding and want to work within ESG data or in a mission-driven organisation.
- Strong understanding of financial markets or regulatory reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
