Data engineer – cool company

Amsterdam | €80,000 – €95,000 | Permanent

Amsterdam · Hybrid · €80,000 – €95,000

This one is for engineers who care about what their data actually does.

Not just pipelines for the sake of pipelines. The platform here sits underneath one of the largest agricultural datasets in the world and it powers the decisions that help feed people at scale. That’s not a line from a deck. That’s the actual job.

The company builds AI software for greenhouse growers. Their platform helps the world’s leading producers optimise yields, reduce waste, and make better operational decisions every day. The data problem is real, complex, and genuinely interesting.

What you’ll be working on

You’ll own the Databricks/dbt stack and help shape the data engineering direction for the platform team. That means building and maintaining ingestion pipelines, making data accessible to internal data scientists and external enterprise customers, and setting the foundations that let other teams build with confidence.

A key early project is building out Cloud Modules – giving enterprise customers secure, direct access to their own data for BI and analysis. The kind of work that has real customer impact quickly.

Stack includes Python, Golang, Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, Dagster, and AWS. Expertise with Databricks or Snowflake is essential.

Who this suits

What’s on the table

€80,000 – €95,000 depending on experience. Hybrid out of Amsterdam, in-office Mondays and Thursdays with lunch provided. Pension at 4.5%, flexible holidays with a genuine minimum of 25 days, learning budget, and home setup allowance.

Small, technical team. Real data at real scale. A domain that isn’t going anywhere. And the kind of role where what you build actually matters to the people using it.
