Imagine a data pipeline that talks to electric vehicles, reads the grid, tracks driver behaviour, flags fraud, and nudges people to charge when the wind’s blowing.

That’s what you’d be building.

This scale-up is making EV charging smarter, not just for drivers, but for the entire energy system. Real-time decisions, big data, and actual impact. Not dashboards for the sake of it.

They’ve already connected nearly a million vehicles, dozens of charging networks, and multiple energy providers across Europe.

The infrastructure’s solid. The volume is real. Now it needs someone to wrangle the data and unlock even more value.

What you’ll be working on:

• Design and build clean, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Combine data from scattered internal + external sources (cars, chargers, the grid)
• Work with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Python, and Power BI
• Turn chaos into clarity: fraud models, pricing logic, performance monitoring
• Partner with product, ops, finance, and engineering — your insights will shape what happens next
• Work closely with their principal data engineer (sharp guy, knows where all the bodies are buried)

What tools should you bring?

• Proven experience in a data engineer or analyst role
• Strong in SQL and data modelling
• Confident building pipelines (ideally in Azure + Python)
• Power BI skills: not just visualisations, but actionable insights
• Sharp eye for edge cases, errors, and the things no one else notices
• You explain things simply, and know when good enough is good enough
• Bonus if you’re into energy, mobility, or sustainable tech

This isn’t a BI support role. It’s not endless ticket-chasing. It’s designing the brain of a real system, one that’s growing fast and changing how people charge their cars.
