Senior Platform Engineer – AWS / Kubernetes / Kafka

Working with a cybersecurity company operating deep in the banking space, where the platform is processing real-time fraud, malware, and threat intelligence events at serious scale.

High-volume.

Event-driven.

Operationally critical.

The environment:

• AWS (multi-account / multi-VPC)
• Kubernetes
• GitOps workflows
• Kafka as the backbone of the platform
• Hybrid SaaS + private cloud deployments

They’re looking for someone senior enough to properly own and improve parts of the platform layer. Not just: “deploy app, close ticket.”

• reliability engineering

• improving how the platform actually operates under load

Kafka is important here. Not “used it once.” Actually understanding:

• partitions
• throughput bottlenecks
• lag
• broker behaviour
• failure scenarios
• operating stateful systems in production

You’ll be joining at a good time as well.

The business is growing hard, platform investment is happening properly, and there’s already a strong engineering core in place.

This isn’t a team of juniors needing a hero.It’s good engineers wanting another good engineer.

€110k-ish depending on level.

Hybrid in NL (2 days).
